The Finishing Touches of Your Allure Gown

It's a no brainer that Allure Bridals feature gorgeous gowns. When accessorized with jewelry, shoes, and the perfect veil, your wedding day will be complete. Below are a few featured styles and silhouettes that are making their way down wedding aisles this year.

Accessorize your bridal look with headpieces such as veils, combs, clips, and barrettes. Add jewelry, including necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Belts and sashes add a touch of glimmer and can accentuate a waist and don't forget sassy or elegant shoes.

Allure (Gown on Left)--An exquisite ball gown in rich, satin with a strapless bodice featuring ruching and Swarovski crystals at the waistline. Complete this look with a pair of Swarovski drop earrings, necklace, bracelet, and veil with crystal accents. A t-strap sandal or pump with Swarovski crystal accents can also help to bring out the bling!

Allure Couture--(Gown in Center)--A slim, fitted gown in all over lace on English net. The v-shaped neckline is encrusted with Swarovski crystals that also adorn the back. Complete this look with a pearl or crystal bracelet, matching drop pearl or crystal earrings, and a birdcage veil. Don't forget a sexy, yet simple strappy shoe.

Allure--(Gown on Right)--This slim gown has a soft Bateau shaped neckline in delicate lace with a 3/4 length sleeve. A Swarovski crystal band accents the natural waistline while taffeta creates the slim, A-line skirt. Complete this look with drop crystal earrings and a decorative comb.

Fashion Forward Bridal Trends in 2014

As they say in the world of fashion, "One day you're in, and the next you're out."
When it comes to your wedding day, it is the most spectacular day of fashion you will ever have.
With this said, staying on trend for 2014 depends on not just your body type, but also your personality.
Every bride wants to wear the bridal gown, but the gown should not wear you. At Volle's, our staff will take the time to help find that unique gown to fit your style and personality.

As we embark on Bridal Trends for 2014, be on the look out for the following:

*Short Skirts

*Dramatic Backs

*Appliques

*Peplums

*Capes/Wraps

Short skirts offer the luxury of making a dramatic statement by accenting the lower half of your body. A sexy shoe will complete this look as well. Short skirts will be seen accented with Swarovski crystals, lace, and even feathers. You're sure to be sassy on your wedding day with this look!

If you feel comfortable revealing your backside in a demure manner, you can be sure that a bridal gown with a dramatic back will be a phenomenal look for you. Dramatic backs will be seen with all sorts of embellished looks such as lace, beading, crystals, and appliques. It definitely brings Old World Hollywood Glam into your special day. Think Great Gatsby!

Volle's carries a variety of bridal gowns that feature appliques as well. Appliques offer sparkle and offer a little embellishment to a bodice, skirt, or both. Appliques are being seen with lace, floral patterns, and even with great deals of texture. It's all about your personal style.

As we approach the colder months, capes and wraps will complete the look for your ceremony and/or reception. Capes/wraps are being seen in a variety of textures, colors, and fabrics. They are a great way to change up your gown during pictures as well. They also help to accentuate a neckline.

Whatever your favorite bridal trend is for 2014, be sure to stop in to Volle's to get your personalized look for your spectacular wedding day!

Involving Your Family and Friends

Volle’s had a great turn out for our Allure trunk show this weekend, and we were so lucky to have been able to see the most current bridal line from our new designer! Whether you are looking for a gown that is soft and romantic, modern, or vintage, Allure has a dress to impress any bride and her budget. We can’t wait to share this new line with all of our future brides!

In other bridal news, I’m quickly gaining great deal of knowledge and experience with every day that passes by. I have been fortunate enough to meet brides from all different walks of life, and with every kind of style and personality to match. One thing that unites all brides that walk through our door is their desire to feel beautiful and have the best experience possible when looking for their dream dress. A question that many brides might ask themselves before making an appointment is, “Who should I bring to my bridal appointment? Should I just take my family or do I want to involve my friends/bridesmaids?” While sharing this experience is very personal and emotional for most brides, and they want to have everyone that they can involved, a general rule to follow is that less is more. Bringing in a large group can easily overwhelm you as a bride because no matter how well you get along, there will always be opinions. Select the people that you want most to be part of the choosing of your dress , whether that be a relative or friend, and let others know that you can either show them pictures, bring them back to a first fitting, or even keep it as a surprise until your wedding day. There are plenty of ways to involve as many people you want after you have chosen your dress. Remember, you are the bride and if you and your small group love a gown, then it is the one for you.

Fairytale Endings Happen at Volles Bridal!

Volles is having a big event this weekend as we will be featuring an exclusive Allure trunk show from May 3rd- May 6th! Volles is proud to be a new home to Allure’s gorgeous wedding gowns, and whether your style is classic and traditional or bold and dramatic, nothing feels quite like an Allure. At Volles, you are sure to find your dream dress and we have consultants who genuinely want to make you feel your most beautiful. We strive to provide the best experience for all brides, and with our exceptional on-site alterations team, you can feel confident that the gown you choose will be made uniquely yours. It is truly unfortunate when we hear stories of brides that go dress shopping elsewhere and tell us about the sub-par service they received, or about a dress they had ordered that did not get altered properly. Take a look at a recent testimonial from a bride we had in the store whose wedding nightmare was turned into a dream come true thanks to the help of Volles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2ZjMUBkM5E

The Volles team takes pride in providing the best possible shopping experiences for our brides, and with our upcoming Allure trunk show, we can’t wait to make more dreams come true. Don’t take the risk of having an incident happen like our bride featured in the testimonial, and make your appointment at Volles today! http://www.vollesbridal.com/

Never Second Guess Your Dress

A common misconception when looking for the perfect dress is the worry about purchasing too early. Take it from someone with experience – it’s never too early. Even in the short amount of time that I have been part of the Volles team, I hear it quite often. Brides come in and are hesitant to buy a dress they have fallen in love with because they think they are jumping the gun too quickly. They want to shop around or are simply worried that if they buy their dress a year or more in advance that they could change their mind down the road. You will hear this from most bridal consultants, but as someone who purchased a dress over a year in advance of my wedding, it’s worth it to make sure you have the dress of your dreams. This is one of the most important parts of the wedding process, and the dress sets the tone for many other details including bridesmaid dresses, Mother of the wedding gowns, tuxes, and color pallets. Customers frequently ask me if it’s difficult to work as a bridal consultant around so many beautiful gowns when I have already bought my own, but like I tell every bride that I meet, it’s not a challenge because I know that I found the dress that is perfect for me. I have never second guessed my decision because on the day that I chose my dress, I knew when I had it on that it was what I wanted to wear when walking towards my future husband.

What many brides have a problem with is letting themselves fall in love with one dress. Although it’s exciting to be surrounded by gorgeous designer gowns, it can also be an overwhelming experience. This is why it’s so important to focus on how you imagine yourself to look walking down the aisle, and not worrying about what other opinions could influence your decision about your dress. Remember, YOU are the bride and it is your dress. If it is your first time shopping and you step into a gown and completely fall in love, don’t second guess yourself just because it is your first time out. You know how you feel, and if you can see yourself walking towards your future spouse in that dress, then it’s yours. You knew in your heart when your fiancĂ© was “the one,” and you will know it when you find your dress. You just have to learn to trust your instincts and let yourself be in love with the dress. When you’ve found the one, just be ecstatic that you can envision your dream wedding and all of the other details can then fall into place.

Fashion Forward Bridal Party

Imagine being able to walk into a bridal store and pick out whatever dress you want, and then strutting your new look down a runway. Sound like a dream? Well today we made it happen! We had such a fun day selecting some of the best gowns that Volles has to offer for the Good Shepard Hospital fashion show. Our faux bride-to-be wanted something bold and memorable, so we put her in a gorgeous show-stopping sherbet wedding dress complete with a cathedral length veil to complement the dramatic style. And what, you might ask, would complement a sherbet wedding gown? Something traditional would just not suit this daring wedding party, and Volles just so happens to have the perfect Maid of Honor/Bridesmaid dress with just the right amount of sparkle, feather, and sass to accompany the bride. To complete the look, we put the MOB (Mother of the Bride) in a gorgeous gown with a beaded and lace bodice in a neutral color pallet. The three looked absolutely perfect together, and we all agreed that this would be one wedding that we would definitely want to be invited to! Volles is so happy to loan these gorgeous dresses to the Good Shepard Hospital fashion show and we know we will be represented well!

Experiences like these are rewarding for me not only as a bridal consultant, but as a member of the Volles team. It’s encouraging to know that Volles goes above and beyond not only for our customers, but also for our fashion show representatives so they can feel their most beautiful in whichever gown they will be wearing.  I absolutely loved being part of dressing up this fashion forward bridal party and every day I am more eager to help brides find their dream dresses!

Bridal Bliss

How often does an opportunity come along that is exactly what you’ve been hoping for, and that will allow you to work in an industry that makes girls’ dreams come true? As a future bride preparing for a wedding this coming September, I have always looked at bridal consulting as one of those careers that I would love to get into if I were only given the chance. When embarking on my own search for the perfect dress, one of the first things I ever said to a consultant was, “This must be such a great job. I wish I could do this one day.” Something about finding the perfect dress captivates me, and as a soon-to-be bride myself, I understand how important it is for each bride to feel her most beautiful. As someone who received a Bachelor's degree in English, never did I think anyone would give me a chance to work in a position that is so fulfilling. But as fate would have it, seven months after finding my dress, here I am as a bridal consultant in training at Volles Bridal.

I am so fortunate to be able to put my two passions of writing and bridal consulting together to report the wonderful benefits of purchasing your gown with Volles. It is more than just selling a dress, but rather helping each bride find what she has envisioned for herself. In my short time that I have been part of the Volles family, I have already come to realize that I am meant for this position when I get just as teary-eyed (if not more) when a bride says yes to her dress. Because I have my own wedding soon approaching, I identify with every bride that comes through our doors and I understand that this is a very emotional and exciting time in their lives. It's rewarding to be part of one of the most important decisions the bride will make about her wedding day, and to know that I or one of my fellow consultants have played a role in her dream wedding. There are so many new things for me to learn, but with each bride that comes in I have a better understanding of each dress and how to make every girl feel like she is the most beautiful bride she can be. Volles has so much to offer a bride from the wide selection of impeccably designed gowns to the flawless execution of our alterations department. Follow me and my updates on my journey as a bride-to-be and as a newbie to the bridal consulting industry at Volles Bridal!
